Job Summary:
Huawei Network Engineer will deal with corporate clients in implementing and maintaining their Huawei IT infrastructure, ranging from routers to switches. You will deploy solutions in addition to providing ongoing, preventative, direct on-site system administration support, ensuring that: their network security is sound; their application and database server administration runs smoothly; their backups are reliable; and their server and workstation user issues are addressed successfully in a timely fashion.
The clients range in size, so your professional demeanor, responsive approach and genuine interest in the well-being of their systems will be key to your success. You may solve simple problems to complex server or network issues.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Strong experience in LAN and WAN network design and maintenance
2. Be familiar with routing protocols such as TCP/IP UDP ISIS OSPF BGP MPLS TE IGMP
3. Experience with some or all of the following Huawei equipment:
- S7800 or S9300
- S5600 or S5300
- S3900 or S3500 or S3300
- AR29 or AR49
- SoftCo PBX
4. Understanding of:
- Layer 2 and 3 Switching
- VRRP
- VLAN
- Network protocols
5. Superior customer service skills (minimum of 3 years), knowing how to cultivate in-person short and long-term customer relationships.
6. Critical thinking, time management and documentation skills are vital.
7. Excellent writing and verbal skills, able to explain complex issues in simple terms.
8. Fluent English
